Defender

For the Playstation 1 en Playstation 2 there simply is no better controller than the Defender, hands-down! Say bye bye to those wires (and extension cords), because the Defender comes correct and wireless. Enjoy gaming from afar on that lazy couch. Up to 30 feet (10 meters). on the Playstation 3 the Defender offers fantastic performance, though is lacking in Six-axis support. (fear not: Defender's big Bluetooth brother provides in this regard) Plus Defender is such a mother-franky versatile controller. It supports so unearthly much consoles!

A many heard complaint of (by now grown up) Playstation fans is that the original Sony controller is too small in-hand. Thanks to its modern and ergonomic design, the Defender will feel like a dream in your hand(s). It actually a bit like that PS5-controller, shape-wise. For many folks a very recognizable design.

Colors

Retro Fighters has again done the franchise proud by offering us all of the recognizable from the Playstation Franchise: Gray, Black, see-through Blue, see-through Green. "I believe Yoda once said it: Defender. All colors. A Jedi craves all these things." Not true, Frank.

Dongles in matching colors

You receive NOT one, BUT two dongles, in matching colors. Dongle one has the recognizable Playstation port. Dongle two has a USB-port (for Switch and PC). Note that the USB-dongle for Blue and Green comes in standard Gray. "Permanent marker works magic here, trust us." No, Frank.

Compatibility

Defender's Playstation port is compatible with:

  • Playstation 1
  • Playstation 2
  • Playstation 3 (no Six-axis support)
  • PS Classic

The USB-dongle is used to connect to the Switch and PC.

Frankie Boy's advice: "Get acquainted with this controller on the PS1 whilst playing Gran Turismo 1. That should bring them old feels back to ya'. Say what? Ain't got GT1? Oy, boyo, play GT2 or something then, mate...sheesh... and on the PS2, go and start up Tenchu Wrath of Heaven again, a button-heavy game. Put that Motherf-ranker to the test, I TRIPLE-DOUBLE DARE YOU!" Cool it, Frank.
